So my obsession with Britain continues... Just look at this fantastically sublime models:

He is DANNY SCHWARZ, stands at 6'1 1/2", born in 1987 in England. He used to be a disc jockey before being discovered. He has been on ad campaigns for Calvin Klein (as shown above), D&G, and Armani, etc. He has also walked for Bottega Venetta, Versace, DSquared2, Cavalli, and Givenchy.

He is OLLIE EDWARDS, born in 1982, and stands at 6'2". This handsome bloke used to be a motorcross biker before becoming a full-time model in 2007. He has been seen on the ad campaigns for Ralph Lauren (above), Lacoste, Benetton, Armani, Y-3, etc. He is known for his exceptional skin and for his infamous huge scar in his stomach.

It's really unfair that good-looking men are so UNREACHABLE!

Start Of Another Inferno

Our second semester started last November 3 and just when I thought that this last and final semester of my college life would be easier, I WAS WRONG! In fact, it would be more challenging since we don't have one thesis... we have at least TWO!!! Aside from that, I have a CONCEPT PAPER and a BOOK REVIEW. Seriously, this will be the death of me but I need to do what I have to do! It's tough but I can take it...

I received my grade yesterday for Local History.

I got a grade of 81 and I'm glad of it!

Even though it's quite low, it's still acceptable...

Better than a grade of 79 or below...

At least, our efforts paid through!

Now, I'll worry about getting HIGH GRADES for this semester...

The Tudors Season 3

The Tudors Season 3 Poster

After days of sleeping late, finally, I finished the Season 3 of The Tudors! Yipee!

Anyway, I can't right a decent review of the show since:

a. I will be subjective due to Henry Cavill

b. I will be subjective due to Henry Cavill

and...

c. I will be subjective due to Henry Cavill

Understood?!

Plus, I'm no good at writing reviews of dramas so I'll not attempt to do it...

Anyway...

The Duke Of Suffolk Leading The Supression

All I can say is HENRY CAVILL as Charles Brandon showed many layers to his character... We get to see him TORN between his conscience and his love for his king THEN we get to see him plotting mercilessly with the Seymours against his nemesis, Thomas Cromwell. I can't bear to see him in agony over his duty as the king summoned him to lead the suppression of the Pilgrimage of the Grace. He was ordered to put to death thousands of people, women and children included, who defied the king by supporting the restoration of the abbeys and monasteries (England is now in the REFORMATION PERIOD during this time). It also didn't help that his wife, the Duchess of Suffolk wasn't thrilled of her latest pregnancy due to her disapproval of her husband's actions. One scene I particularly like was when Charles was praying to His Creator and asking for forgiveness for the atrocities that he had done to the people. If I could only comfort him... hehehe...

Henry Cavillicious

Ofcourse, this was pure Hollywood since the Duke of Suffolk in reality wasn't the one who was ordered by Henry VIII to suppress the rebellion. But the producers know that Henry Cavill sells so they let his character do the deed...

James Frain as Thomas Cromwell

The season ended with the execution of Thomas Cromwell and I think James Frain's portrayal of Cromwell was really amazing since he managed to be scrupulously enigmatic but at the same time, there's a touch of humanness in his rigid exterior. I couldn't help but take pity on him when he was falling out of favor from the king and the Court is turning against him! This time, I actually wanted to whack Charles Brandon's fine ass for being such a jackass! But anyway, in the 16th Century English Court, one minute your in, the next day, you're out (Project Runway!)! So you have to play the game, no matter how dirty it can get!

The Duke Of Suffolk And His Co-Conspirators

Season 4 is EONS away since it will start next year so I have to muster my patience and WAIT until I get to see Henry Cavill as the sex-on-legs Brandon!

Robert Pattinson Graces The Cover Of Vanity Fair

I am over with my obsession with The Twilight Saga, including my devotion to ROBERT PATTINSON (since you all know that my heart's desire nowadays is HENRY CAVILL, hehehe). BUT when I saw him on the cover of Vanity Fair, I was like... WOW! He's still incredibly handsome (look at those inviting EYES!)

I'm still going to watch NEW MOON as soon as it comes out since I have a feeling that it will be better than its predecessor! And you have to admit, without this dashing bloke from Britain, the Twilight franchise will never be a phenomenon!

The-tudors-season-2-premiere

I've been watching Showtime's The Tudors for the past days now all because of the gorgeous Henry Cavill. But as I watch the show (I'm almost done with the 2nd season), I am becoming more enamored with it! The clothes, the castles, and the casts all make the show worth-watching! What makes it really good is the incredible acting... all the actors (from Jonathan Rhys-Meyers as Henry VIII to Natalie Dormer as ill-fated Anne Boleyn) does a splendid job portraying their respective characters. All the characters have a dark sinister side, doing everything to win the favor of the king, calculating their every move and plotting against rivals. BUT they also have a HUMAN side wherein they can exhibit a touch of sensitivity and creates an atmosphere of both vulnerability and despair.

Natlie dormer

I especially admire Natalie Dormer as Anne Boleyn. She elicits an air of dignified scheming strength as Henry's second wife especially during the first season when she was seducing the king and plotting with her ambitious father which precipitates Henry's separation from the Catholic Church and the demise of his first marriage to Catherine of Aragon. But in the second season, we saw her softer side as she became the mother of Princess Elizabeth as well as her insecurities the moment she realized that the king doesn't love her anymore. Natalie Dormer nailed the part as the doomed queen and I hope she gets more role after The Tudors to showcase her talent as an actress.

The Tudors is a HOLLYWOOD SHOW full of SEX, NUDITY and HISTORICAL INACCURACIES so this is not for puritanical viewers. Nevertheless, it's a good show to watch for entertainment and introduction to the Tudor Era that always captivate the imagination of many.
